◇ Product Introduction ◇
 
The Xicor X9241A integrates four non-volatile E2POTTM numerically controlled potentiometers in a monolithic CMOS microcircuit.
The X9241A contains four resistor arrays, each containing 63 resistor elements. Between each cell and at the two endpoints there are tap points that can be accessed by the sliding unit. The position of the sliding unit in the array is controlled by the user via a two-wire serial bus interface. Each resistor array is linked to a Wipe Count Register (WCR) and four 8-bit data registers that can be written and read out directly by the user. The contents of the wiper count register control the position of the wiper in the resistor array.
Data registers can be read and written by the user. The contents of the data register can be transferred to the Slip Count Register to set the position of the Slider. The position of the current wiper can be transferred to any data register associated with it.
