The XC6217 series is a high-precision, low-noise, high-speed, low-dropout voltage regulator chip with energy-saving function (GO). The chips are based on Torex's CMOS production process and feature high speed, ripple suppression and low input/output dropouts. The XC6217 series chips include a reference voltage circuit, an error amplifier, a current limiter, a phase compensator, and a driver triode. The chip's energy-saving function (GO) can automatically switch to two operating states, high-speed mode (HS) and energy-saving mode (PS) by changing the load current, so that it can work at high speed, low power consumption, and high efficiency according to the customer's application. This switching point is set inside the chip. When a fixed high level is added to the GO pin, the chip only works in high-speed mode. When the CE pin is set low, the chip stops working, and the XC6217B/D series can form a short circuit through the switch between the VOUT and VSS inside the chip, allowing the output capacitor (CL) to be discharged quickly and the voltage on the VOUT pin is dropped to the VSS. The output capacitors of the XC6217 series can use ceramic capacitors with low ESR. The XC6217 series has an output voltage selection range of 0.8V to 4.0V with 0.05V intervals. A current limiter inside the chip provides output short-circuit protection.
