XC9116B02AMR-G Boost DC/DC Converter - Backlight LED Driver

The XC9116 series is a step-up DC/DC converter chip with a fixed operating frequency and constant output current, making it ideal as a backlight LED driver for electronic devices such as mobile phones, PDAs, and digital cameras. The XC9116 series can reach an output voltage of up to 18V. When the input voltage is 3.2V, the XC9116 series chip can drive four series LEDs. When the input voltage is 2.5V, the XC9116 series chips can drive dual-row parallel LEDs, with three LEDs connected in series per row. A set of PWM control signals is added to the CE pins of the XC9116 series to control the LED brightness. The XC9116 series has an operating frequency of up to 1.0MHz and a very low reference voltage, greatly reducing power consumption and achieving high efficiency. Additionally, the XC9116 series features a built-in power switching transistor with a 2.0Ω on-resistance and uses only a very small ceramic capacitor (0.22uF) as the load capacitor. The Type B of the XC9116 series (under development) also has a built-in fault detection circuit. When the output voltage is too high, the internal power switching transistors of the chip stop working through the feedback loop, preventing damage to the LED.
