The XCL205/XCL206/XCL207 series are ultra-small (2.5mm×2.0mm, H=1.0mm) step-down DC/DC converters that integrate coils and control ICs. Only two ceramic capacitors are added externally to form a supply with a maximum load current of 600mA.
The working voltage is between 2.0V~6.0V. The output voltage can be set in 0.05V intervals in the range of 0.8~4.0V. The control IC operates at a switching frequency of 3MHz and has built-in synchronous rectification mode of 0.42ΩPch driver transistor and 0.52ΩNch switching transistor. Choose the working mode from three control modes: PWM control (XCL205), PWM/PFM automatic switching control (XCL206), and manual switching control mode (XCL207). It can achieve high-speed response, low ripple, and high efficiency in the entire load range from light load to high load. Stop the entire circuit during standby to suppress the current consumption to 1.0A or less. In addition, the UVLO (Under Voltage Lock Out) function is built-in, which forces the operation of the internal drive transistor to stop when the input voltage is below 1.4V.
The XCL205B/XCL206B/XCL207B series features a high-speed soft-start function with a start-up time of 0.25ms (TYP). The XCL205B(C)/XCL206B(C)/XCL207B(C) series uses the CL discharge function to turn on the internal switch between LX-VSS during standby, and discharge the charge of the load capacitor CL through the internal impedance. With this discharge function, the output voltage can be returned to the VSS level at high speed.
