OTP Programming Tool Description The XR21B1411 (B1411) is an enhanced universal asynchronous receiver and transmitter with a USB interface (UART). The USB interface is fully compliant with the full-speed USB 2.0 specification and supports USB data transfer rates of 12 Mbps. The USB interface also supports USB suspension, recovery, and remote wake-up operations. The B1411 features an internal clock that can be programmed to 6, 12, 24 or 48 MHz. Therefore, there is no need for an external crystal/oscillator, which is required in the previous generation of UART. With the decimal baud rate generator, any baud rate can be up to 12 Mbps, which accurately generates the use of internal clocks. The large 128-byte send FIFO and 384-byte receive FIFO B1411 help optimize overall data throughput for various applications. The transceiver's automatic directional control feature simplifies the hardware and software for half-duplex RS-485 applications. If required, the multipoint (9-bit) function mode with automatic half-duplex transceiver control further simplifies typical multipoint RS-485 applications. Manufacturer ID, Product ID, Bus Powered Mode, Self-Powered Mode, Remote Wake Support or Maximum Power Consumption Value, and default baud rate settings can be programmed to use via USBD+/USBD-OTP on pin board. The B1411 operates from a single 5V supply and is available in a 16-pin QFN package. Software drivers are Windows 7, 2000 and XP, Vista and CE certified, as well as Linux and Mac are supported XR21B1411
