ZLDO500Low dropout linear regulator
description
The ZLDO series of low dropout linear regulators operate with a very low dropout voltage, typically only 30mV with a load current of 100mA. The regulator series offers output voltages ranging from 2.7 to 18 volts, and the device provides an output voltage of 5.0 volts. At this ZLDO500, its maximum rated output current is 300mA, and the typical quiescent current consumption is only 1 milliampere. A low battery flag is a condition that indicates a potential power failure. If the input voltage drops to a regulated output voltage of 200mV, the false output is pulled down. The device also features a high-level disable control. Once deactivated, the quiescent current of the ZLDO drops to the usual 11 milliamps. The SM8 Zetex packaged with ZLDO devices in an 8-pin small form factor surface-mount package is ideal for space-saving applications. The device is ideal for low dropout, low quiescent current, and small size, low power consumption, and battery-powered applications. Battery-powered circuitry that can make low battery flags and shutdown functions for specific purposes.
