TPS92001 description

General TPS92001/2 series LED lighting PWM controllers contain control and drive circuitry requirements for offline isolated or non-isolated LED lighting applications.

The controller supports triac dimming of external components with minimal stage reduction. These controllers can also exceed lighting regulations in terms of conversion power factor (PF) during the implementation phase. These controllers also have an accessible 5 V reference voltage that can be used to drive microcontrollers or other low-power peripheral components. The controller operates in fixed-frequency current mode and switches with minimal external component count. An internal implementation undervoltage lockout circuit includes having a start-up current of less than 100μA, logic to ensure lockout operation, PWM comparator, totem pole output, and a stage that sinks or supplies peak current.
