illustrate
The LM96194 hardware monitor two-wire digital interface is compatible with SMBus 2.0. When using ΣΔADC, LM96194 measures are taken to the transistor connected by four remote diodes and its own death, 9 temperature of the supply voltage. LM96194 has the new TruTherm technology, which supports thermodiode measurements for processors with high-precision sub-micron processes.
To set the fan speed, LM96194 have two PWM controls that are up to 6 temperature zone outputs each. Fan control algorithms can be based on lookup tables, PI (proportional/integral) control loops, or a combination of both. The LM96194 includes a digital filter that can be called smoothly to get better fan speed, minimize noise, and control temperature readings to a minimum. The LM96194 has four speed inputs to measure fan speed. All measurement limits and status registers are also included.
While LM96194 include support for LM94 features, dual-CPU motherboard server management ASICs such as dynamic monitoring of measurement and control support VRD10/11 VCCP and ^PROCHOT, but most are targeted for single-processor systems.
