The LMP8645 and LMP8645HV are precision current-sense amplifiers that detect high inputs in resistance detection and small differential voltages with common mode voltages ranging from 2.7V to 12V.

Whereas LMP8645 accept input signals with a common mode voltage range from -2V to 42V, while LMP8645HV accept signals with input common-mode voltages ranging from -2V to 76V. While LMP8645 and LMP8645HV have applications, the supply current and high common-mode voltage are determinants of adjustable gain. The gain is configured with a resistor that provides a high degree of flexibility with an accuracy of up to 2% (maximum), including low resistance for gain settings. Output buffering to provide low output impedance. This high-side current sense amplifier is used to detect and monitor DC current or battery-powered system temperatures, ideal for excellent AC and DC specifications, and to keep errors in the current sense cycle to a minimum. Ideal for industrial, automotive, and consumer applications, LMP8645 is available in TSOT-6 packages.
