illustrate
The LM158 series consists of two independent, high-gain, internally frequency-compensated, single-supply op amps that are designed to operate over a wide range of voltages. Operation from a split power supply may also be independent of the voltage of the power supply that the low supply current consumption is made.
Applications include sensor amplifiers, DC gain blocks, and all conventional op amps that make it easier to implement circuits in single-supply systems. For example, the LM158 series operates directly from a standard +5 V supply voltage, uses a digital system, and is conveniently provided without the additional interface circuitry required to ± a 15V power supply.
The LM358 and LM2904 are obtained in a chip size package using National Semiconductor's micro SMD packaging technology (8 solder ball micro SMD).
