description
TW8811 is a high-performance integrated LCD processor including navigation systems, automotive display applications designed for sprinting, rear seat/
Head mount monitor, DVD player, car TV. The chip uses a single 27MHz crystal in a 208-pin LQFP package and automotive applications including -40°C to +85°C temperature and 1000-hour reliability testing qualification. The TW8811 requires an external 64Mbit SDRAM to support picture-in-picture and other advanced features. Inputs include composite video, S-video input, YPbPr, analog RGB, 24-bit digital RGB, and 8/16/24-bit YCbCr. Another 3D comb filter for composite video streams, high-quality NTSC and PAL 3D comb filters concurrent 3D noise reduction and integration to reduce typical artifacts found in analog video signals. Proprietary image processing algorithms implemented by the TW8811 to improve image quality, including built-in low-angle compensation, black/white elasticity and color enhancement in the 2D interlaced scan engine. The TW8811 has an advanced picture-in-picture feature, picture-in-picture (PIP) picture, which includes sub-window sizes with variables, picture multi-painting (POP), and multiple picture-in-picture features. The TW8811 screen displays, selectable 256 24-bit colors (167,000 million colors), is an OSD with a variety of features including flicker, transparency, blending, support for multi-window graphics styles. The TW8811 also supports alpha hybrid control with external external 18-bit OSDs.
