The UC1861 IC - The 1868 series is ideal for the control of zero-current and zero-voltage switching quasi-resonant converters. The difference between this is from the UVLO threshold and the output selection of members of the various combination device family results. In addition, a single-pulse steering logic configuration scheme is available for both time zero-current systems (UC1865-1868) and zero-voltage switching applications for shutdown time (UC1861-1864).
The main control module implementation includes error amplifier compensation for the entire system cycle, driving a voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) with programmable minimum and maximum frequencies. Triggered by the VCO, the maximum width of a program is generated at one time, and the zero-modulation pulses can be compared by detecting and comparing.
characteristic
- Controls zero-current switching (zero-current) or zero-voltage switching (zero-voltage switching) quasi-resonant converters
- Zero terminates a single trigger timer
- 1% accuracy, 5V reference for soft start
- Restart failure after programmable delay
- Voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs) and programmable minimum and maximum frequencies from 10kHz to 1MHz
- Low start-up current (150μA typical)
- Dual 1 amp peak FET drivers
- UVLO options for offline or DC/DC applications
