The CLRC632 is part of the latest family of highly integrated reader ICs that enable contactless communication at 13.56 MHz. The seriesCard reader ICOffer:

  • Excellent modulation and demodulation performance for passive contactless communication
  • Various methods and protocols
  • Fully integrated in a small package
  • Compatible with MFRC500, MFRC530, MFRC531, and SLRC400 pins

Communication standards supporting all ISO/IEC 14443 A and ISO/IEC 14443 B protocol layers:

  • Properly install additional components such as oscillators, power supplies, coils, etc.
  • Proper deployment of standardized protocols such as ISO/IEC 14443-4 and/or ISO/IEC 14443 B collision prevention

Use of this NXP® semiconductor device that complies with ISO/IEC 14443 B may infringe third party patent rights.

The CLRC632 supports contactless communication using MIFARE's higher baud rate (see section 9.12 on page 40). The receiver module provides a robust and efficient demodulation/decoding circuit scheme that is compatible with transponder signals (see Section 9.10 on page 34).

The digital module manages the complete SO/IEC 14443 standard framing and error detection (parity and CRC). In addition, it supports fast MIFARE security algorithms for authenticating MIFARE products (see section 9.14 on page 42).

CLRC632 supports all I-CODE1 and ISO/IEC 15693 protocol layers. The receiver module provides a robust and efficient demodulation/decoding circuit solution that is compatible with I-CODE1 and ISO/IEC 15693 transponder signals. The digital module handles I-CODE1 and ISO/IEC 15693 framing and error detection (CRC).

The internal transmitter module (see section 9.9 on page 31) can directly drive antennas designed for proximity operation up to 100 mm away without any additional active circuitry.

The parallel interface can be connected directly to any 8-bit microprocessor to ensure reader/terminal design flexibility. Serial peripheral interface (SPI) compatibility is also supported (see section 9.1.4 on page 9).
