The ADP222/ADP223/ADP224/ADP225's low quiescent current, low dropout, and wide input voltage range extend battery life in portable devices.
At frequencies up to 100 kHz, these devices maintain supply rejection performance of more than 60 dB with a low voltage margin required. The ADP222/ADP223/ADP224/ADP225 have much lower noise than LDO competitors and do not require noise bypass capacitors. These devices also provide overcurrent and thermal protection circuitry to prevent damage to the device under adverse conditions.
The ADP224 and ADP225 are largely identical to the ADP222 and ADP223, respectively, except that the ADP224 and ADP225 add fast output discharge (QOD) characteristics.
The ADP222/ADP223/ADP224/ADP225 are available in 8-pin, 2 mm × 2 mm, small LFCSP packages that provide stable operation with a small 1 μF, ±30% ceramic output capacitor to meet a wide range of portable power supply needs with minimal board space.
