AD9520-51Provides multiple output clock distribution with sub-picosecond jitter performance and an on-chip phase-locked loop (PLL) for use with an external voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO).
The serial interface of the AD9520 supports SPI and I2C® port. The on-chip EEPROM is programmable through a serial interface and can store user-defined register settings for power-up and chip reset.
The AD9520 provides 12 LVPECL outputs in four groups. Either 1.6 GHz LVPECL output can be configured as two 250 MHz CMOS outputs.
Each set of outputs has a divider with programmable divider ratios (1 to 32) and phase (coarse delay).
AD9520It operates from a 64-pin LFCSP package and a single 3.3 V supply. The external VCO can operate up to 5.5 V. The supply voltage of the independent output driver can be from 2.375 V to 3.465 V.
The AD9520 is specified over the standard industrial temperature range of −40°C to +85°C.
1In the data sheet, the AD9520 refers to all components of the AD9520 family. However, when using the AD9520-5, it refers only to that specific part of the AD9520 family.
