ACS756SCA-100B-PFF-T fully integrated, Hall-effect based linear current with 3 kVRMS voltage insulation and low resistance current conductorsensorIC
The Allegro ACS756 current sensor IC family provides an affordable and accurate solution for AC or DC current sensing in industrial, automotive, commercial, and communications systems. The device is packaged for easy customer implementation. Typical applications include motor control, load detection and management, power supply and overcurrent protection.
The device consists of a precise, low-offset, linear Hall sensor circuit with a copper current path close to the die. The current applied through this copper current path generates a magnetic field that can be sensed by the integrated Hall IC and converted into a proportional voltage. Device accuracy is optimized by placing the magnetic signal close to the Hall sensor. The precise, proportional voltage is provided by a chopper-stabilized, chopper-type low-bias BiCMOS Hall IC that is factory programmed with precision.
The output of the device has a positive slope (>V) as the current rises through the primary copper conduction path (from terminal 4 to terminal 5) that acts as the current sensing pathCC/ 2) 。 The internal resistance of this conduction path is typically 130 μΩ with low power loss.
The size of the copper wire allows the device to operate under overcurrent conditions of up to 5×. The terminals of the conduction path are electrically isolated from the sensor pins (pins 1 through 3). This allows the ACS756 sensor IC family to be used in applications that require electrical isolation without the use of opto-insulators or other expensive insulation technologies.
The device is fully calibrated before shipping from the factory. The ACS75x series is lead-free. All pins are 100% matte tin plated and there is no lead present in the package. A large number of gauge leadframes are manufactured from oxygen-free copper.
