description

The LTC®3554 series is a micro-power, highly integrated power management and battery charger IC for single-cell lithium-ion/lithium-polymer battery applications. It includes a PowerPathTM manager with automatic load prioritization, a battery charger, an ideal diode, and numerous internal protection features. Designed for USB applications, the LTC3554 power manager automatically limits the maximum input current to 100mA or 500mA. The battery charge current can be automatically reduced so that the sum of the load current and charge current does not exceed the selected input current limit.

The LTC3554 also includes two synchronous step-down switching regulators and a pushbutton controller. In standby mode, when all power supplies are enabled, only 10μA of quiescent current is drawn from the battery. LTC3554 is available in a 3mm x 3mm x 0.75mm 20-pin QFN package
