The PN532 is a highly integrated transceiver module for 13.56 MHz contactless communication based on the 80C51 microcontroller core. It supports 6 different working modes:
-
ISO/IEC 14443A/MIFARE读写模式
-
FeliCa读写模式
-
ISO/IEC 14443B读写模式
-
ISO/IEC 14443A/MIFARE Card MIFARE Classic 1K或MIFARE Classic 4K卡片仿真模式
-
FeliCa Card仿真
-
ISO/IEC 18092、ECMA 340点对点
The PN532 integrates a demodulator and decoder to process signals from ISO/IEC 14443A/MIFARE compliant cards and transponders. The PN532 handles full ISO/IEC 14443A framing and error detection (parity and CRC).
The PN532 supports MIFARE Classic 1K or MIFARE Classic 4K card emulation modes. The PN532 supports two-way contactless communication using MIFARE's high transmission rate (up to 424 kb/s).
The PN532 demodulates and decodes FeliCa-encoded signals. The PN532 handles FeliCa framing and error detection. The PN532 supports two-way contactless communication using FeliCa's high transmission rate (up to 424 kb/s).
The PN532 supports Layer 2 and Layer 3 ISO/IEC 14443 B read/write communication modes, but does not support anti-interference. Interference prevention must be implemented through firmware and the upper layer.
In card simulation mode, PN532 can respond to read and write commands according to FeliCa or ISO/IEC 14443A/MIFARE card interface schemes. The PN532 generates a load modulation signal from the transmitter or from the LOADMOD pin that drives an external active circuit. The full security card function can only be provided by using the NFC-WI/S²C interface with a security IC.
The PN532 is compliant with ECMA 340 and ISO/IEC 18092 NFCIP-1 standards for passive and active communication modes and can communicate with other NFCIP-1 compatible devices at transfer rates up to 424 kb/s. The PN532 handles full NFCIP-1 framing and error detection.
The PN532 transceiver can be connected to an external antenna for read/write mode or Card/PICC mode without the need for any active devices.
The PN532 supports the following host interfaces:
The embedded low-dropout voltage regulator allows the device to be directly connected to the battery. In addition, a power switch is integrated to power the safety IC.
