description
ISL6721A is a low-power, single-ended pulse-width modulated (PWM) current-mode controller designed for a wide range of DC/DC conversion applications, including boost, flyback, isolated output configurations. Peak current mode control, effectively handles power transients, and provides inherent overcurrent protection. Other features include a low-power mode that drops the supply current to less than 200μA, and overvoltage and overcurrent protection shutdown faults. It differs from ISL6721 where UVLO and UV thresholds have been modified, this advanced BiCMOS design features a low operating current, adjustable operating frequency up to 1MHz, and an adjustable soft-start that allows the oscillator to be locked to a bidirectional SYNC signal for an external clock in noise-sensitive applications.
