illustrate
The LM95235 chip is an 11-bit, 2-wire System Management Bus (SMBus) interface and TruTherm technology that monitors the temperature of a remote diode as well as its own digital temperature sensor. The LM95235 chip can very accurately monitor the temperature of an external device such as a microprocessor, graphics processor, or a diode-connected MMBT3904 transistor. For automotive applications, the LM95235Q is AEC-Q100 standard Grade3 compatible and is a production automotive grade flow. TruTherm BJT (transistor) beta compensation technology allows the LM95235 chip to accurately monitor thermal diodes found in the process of 90nm and smaller geometries. The reported temperature of the LM95235 chip is in two different formats for the 127.875°C/-128°C temperature range and the 0°C/255°C range. LM95235 chip^ T_CRIT^Operating system output is valid when the East Window incident channel exceeds its programmed limit, which can be used to shut down the system, turn on the system fan, or as an interrupt function of the microcontroller. ^T_CRIT^The current state of the operating system pins can read the status registers through the SMBus interface. For all limitations, there is a common programmable hysteresis register.
The remote temperature channels of the LM95235 chip have programmable digital filters. The LM95235 chip contains a diode model selection bit to choose between a typical Intel ® processor in a 65nm or 90nm process or MMBT3904 offset register, as well as maximum flexibility and optimal accuracy.
The LM95235 chip has three levels of address pins connected to up to 3^OS outputs that share the same SMBus master. The LM95235 chip has programmable slew rate registers and standby mode to save power. In standby mode, a conversion can be triggered through a written one-time register.
