The LM95213 is an 11-bit, 2-wire System Management Bus (SMBus) interface digital temperature sensor that monitors the temperature of two remote diodes as well as their own temperature. The LM95213 can be used to monitor temperature very accurately up to two external devices such as microprocessors, graphics processors or diodes connected into the 2N3904 series.
The LM95213 is reported in two different formats for a temperature range of 127.875°C/-128°C and a temperature range of 0°C/255°C. The LM95213^TCRIT1,^TCRIT2^TCRIT3 output triggers any East Window event channel beyond its corresponding programmable limit and can be used to shut down the system, steer the system fan or act as an interrupt function of the microcontroller. The status of ^TCRIT1, ^TCRIT2, and ^TCRIT3 pins can read status registers. Shield registers can be used to further control the ^TCRIT output.
The LM95213's remote temperature channel programmable digital filter minimizes unwanted ^TCRIT events when temperature spikes are encountered.
For optimal flexibility and accuracy, each LM95213 channel offset correction register is included to target the ratio of 2N3904 diodes. A 3-level address pin allows up to 3 LM95213s to be connected to the same SMBus master. The LM95213 includes power-saving features such as programmable slew rate, shutdown mode, and shutdown of unused channels.
