The LMX2306/16/26 are monolithically integrated frequency synthesizers designed to generate a very stable predivision of low noise signals that control the local oscillator of the RF transceiver. They all employ the national ABIC V silicon BiCMOS process 0.5μ process.
The LMX2306 contains an 8/9 dual-mode prescaler, while the LMX2316 and LMX2326 have a 32/33 dual-mode prescaler. The LMX2306/16/26 feature digital phase-locked loop technology. When combined with a high quality reference oscillator and loop filter, the feedback voltage provided by the LMX2306/16/26 controls the tuning voltage of the oscillator to generate a low phase noise local oscillator signal. Serial data is transferred to the LMX2306/16/26 via a three-wire interface (data, enable, clock). The supply voltage range can be from 2.3V to 5.5V. LMX2306/16/26 function ultra-low current consumption; LMX2306 - 1.7 mAh 3V, LMX2316 - 3V, 2.5 mA and LMX2326 at 3V - 4.7 mA.
The LMX2306/16/26 synthesizers are available in a 16-pin TSSOP surface-mount plastic package.
