illustrate
The LP3918 is a fully integrated charger and multi-regulator designed for use with CDMA mobile phones. The LP3918 contains a Li-Ion battery charger, seven low-noise, low-drop (LDO) regulators, and a high-speed serial interface, on/off conditions and output voltage programming of individual regulators, as well as status information from the PMU.
Li-ion battery chargers integrate power FETs, reverse current blocking diodes, sense resistor current monitor outputs, and require few external components. Charge thermal conditioning to obtain the most efficient charge rate for a given ambient temperature.
LDO regulators offer high power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) and low noise, making them ideal for both analog and digital loads.
