Although the near-collector current is close to the collection of electrode current, to achieve a low voltage noise of 1 mA to operate the LT1028/LT1128 input stage, the input bias current is only 25nA. The voltage noise of the LT1028/LT1128 is less than the noise of a resistor of 50 ohms. Therefore, even in very low source impedance sensor or audio amplifier applications, the LT1028/LT1128's contribution to total system noise is negligible.
