AD5512A/AD5542A single-channel, 12/16-bit, serial input, unbuffered output digital-to-analog converter (DAC) operates from a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply. The DAC output ranges from 0 V to VREF for monotonicity, provides 1 LSB INL accuracy (16 bits) without adjustment, and is rated for a temperature range of −40°C to +85°C (AD5542A) or −40°C to +125°C (AD5512A).
AD5512A/AD5542A provides a buffer-free output with a settling time of 1 μs and low offset error, making it ideal for high-speed open-loop control applications.
The AD5512A/AD5542A uses a bipolar operating mode to produce ± VREF output swing. They also include a Kelvin detection connection for the reference voltage to the analog ground pin to reduce layout sensitivity.
AD5512A/AD5542A is available in a 16-pin LFCSP package, AD5542A is also available in a 10-pin LFCSP and 16-pin TSSOP package. The AD5512A/AD5542A features a versatile three-wire interface and is compatible with 50 MHz SPI, QSPI™, MICROWIRE,™ and DSP interface standards.
