The AD9776A/AD9778A/AD9779A are dual, 12/14/16-bit, high dynamic range, respectivelyDigital-to-analog converters(DAC), which provides a 1 GSPS sample rate and can generate multiple carriers up to the Nyquist frequency. These devices feature features optimized for direct conversion transmission applications, including complex digital modulation and gain and offset compensation. The DAC output is optimized to interface seamlessly with analog quadrature modulators, such as Analog Devices' ADL537x FMOD family of modulators. The 3-wire interface allows programming and readback of many internal parameters. The full-scale output current can be programmed from 10 mA to 30 mA. Manufactured on an advanced 0.18 μm CMOS process, these devices operate from 1.8 V and 3.3 V supplies, consume 1.0 W total, and are available in a 100-pin ultra-thin quad flat package (TQFP).
