illustrate
The ADC081C021 is a low power, monolithic 8-bit, Analog to digital Converter (ADC) operates from 2.7 to 5.5V supplies. The converter is based on a successive approximation register structure with internal track and hold circuitry and can handle input frequencies up to 11MHz. “ ADC081C021 Operate from a single supply, which also serves as a reference. The device has I 2 C compatible Serial interface that operates in all three speed modes, including high-speed mode (3.4MHz).
The ADC's alarm function provides an interrupt when an analog input is activated when a programmable upper or lower limit value is violated. The device features an automatic conversion mode that releases the controller and I 2 C interface. In this mode, the ADC continuously monitors the analog input for "range" conditions and provides an interrupt if the measured voltage is out of range.
The ADC081C021 comes from two packages: a small TSOT-6 package with alarm output, an MSOP-8 package with alarm output and two address select inputs. “ ADC081C027 In a small TSOT-6 package, with an address selection input. “ ADC081C027 Three pin-selectable addresses are available, while the ADC081C021 with MSOP-8 provides nine pin-selectable addresses. A pin-compatible alternative to TSOT-6 is to provide additional address options.
Normal use of +3 V or +5 V power consumption is 0.26 mW 0.78 mW, respectively. Automatic power-down function reduces power consumption by less than 1μW without conversion. Operation above the industrial temperature range -40 °C to +105 °C guaranteed. Its low power consumption and small package make this family of ADCs an excellent choice for battery-powered devices.
“ ADC081C021 and ADC081C027 Pin-compatible ADCs in some families also offer 10- and 12-bit resolution. For 10-bit ADCs see ADC101C021 and ADC101C027 。 For 12-bit ADCs see ADC121C021 and ADC121C027 。
