The ADIS16000 and ADIS16229 can be used to create simple wireless vibration sensing networks suitable for a wide range of industrial equipment applications.
The ADIS16000 provides gateway functionality for managing the network, while the ADIS16229 provides remote detection.
ADIS16229iSensor® is a complete wireless vibration sensing node that combines dual-axis acceleration sensing with advanced time and frequency domain signal processing. Time-domain signal processing includes a programmable decimation filter and optional window functions. Frequency domain processing includes 512-point, real-value fast Fourier transform (FFT), FFT amplitude averaging, and programmable band alarms. With the FFT recording storage system, users can track changes over time and capture FFTs with multiple decimation filter settings.
The dynamic range, bandwidth, sample rate, and noise performance of the ADIS16229 are ideal for a wide range of machinery health and production equipment monitoring systems. The device also offers a variety of wireless configuration parameters that provide flexibility to balance battery life and communication frequency.
The ADIS16000 serial peripheral interface (SPI) interfaces most embedded processor platforms, and the SMA connector interface allows the device to use a variety of antennas. The module uses a patented wireless protocol and can support up to six ADIS16229 devices at a time.
The ADIS16000 module is available in a 37.8 mm × 22.8 mm × 8.8 mm multichip chip module lamination (MCML) structure, while the ADIS16229 uses a 37.8 mm × 22.8 mm × 13.5 mm MCML architecture. Both devices feature SMA connectors for easy antenna connection and two mounting holes for easy installation and operation over the −40°C to +85°C temperature range. The ADIS16000 also includes a standard 1 mm, 14-pin connector for connection to embedded processor systems. The ADIS16229 provides a lead structure that makes it easy to connect battery leads.
