The LM4030 is an ultra-high precision shunt voltage reference with very high initial accuracy (0.05%) and temperature stability (10PPM/°C). The LM4030 is available in fixed output voltage options of 2.5V and 4.096V. Despite the SOT23 package, the LM4030 has excellent thermal hysteresis (75ppm) and long-term stability (40PPM), as well as the effects of immunity plate stress.
The LM4030 is designed to operate without the need for external capacitors, but can be used for any capacitance up to 10μF. The LM4030 can shut down the power supply to as little as 120μA (max) but is capable of shunting up to 30mA continuous. With any parallel voltage reference that can be powered off to the LM4030, almost any supply is an easy way to generate highly accurate system references.
The LM4030 is available in three grades (A, B and C). The best grade device (i) has an initial accuracy of 0.05% and a guaranteed temperature coefficient of 10 ppm/°C or less, while the lowest stage (iii) has an initial accuracy of 0.15% and a temperature coefficient of 30 ppm/°C.
