The LMX1600/01/02 is a monolithically integrated dual-frequency synthesizer designed to be part of a family of local oscillator subsystems for radio transceivers. It adopts the national 0.5U ABIC V silicon BiCMOS process.
The LMX1600/01/02 contains two dual-mode prescalers, four programmable counters, a two-phase detector, and two selectable gain charge pumps that provide two external loop filters and VCO loop control voltages. Digital filter lock detection includes two PLLs. DATA VIA MICROWIRE TO LMX1600/01/02 ™ SERIAL INTERFACE (DATA, CLOCK POUNDS).
The V CC supply voltage range can be from 2.7V to 3.6V. The LMX1600/01/02 has a very low current consumption – typically 4.0 mA at 3V for the LMX1601, LMX1600 or LMX1602 5.0 mA 3V. The hardware-controlled PLL is powered down.
The LMX1600/01/02 is available in a 16-pin TSSOP surface-mount plastic package.
