Gate Driver Open input defaults to OFF state The effluent is input to the output pin Available in 20-pin DIP or SOL packages description The LT1161 is a four-channel high-side gate driver that allows for low-cost N-channel power MOSFETs for high-side switching applications. It has 4 independent switching channels, each containing a fully independent charge pump, fully lifting the N-channel MOSFET switch without the need for external components. A leakage comparison is also included in each switching channel to detect the switching current. When the preset current level is exceeded, the switch is turned off. The switch is externally timed capacitor and then automatically tries to restart while remaining off. If the fault persists, this cycle is repeated until the fault is removed, protecting the MOSFET. The LT1161 has been specifically designed for use in harsh working environments such as industrial, avionics, and automotive applications where undersupply regulation and/or transients may occur. The device will not be able to withstand damage from a supply voltage of -15V to 60V.
