The A6260 is linear, programmableCurrent regulator, which can supply up to 350 mA to drive high-brightness LEDs. The LED current is precisely regulated to 4% and is set by a single low power sense resistor. Constant current drives LEDs to ensure safe operation at the maximum possible illumination output. For automotive applications, drive 1 to 3 LEDs with up to 350 mA for performance optimization.
The low dropout voltage feature of the A6260 enables safe drive of a single white LED at full current and supply voltages as low as 6 V.
The input is enabled for PWM dimming and can be used to initiate a low current sleep mode. When PWM switching, the rate of current change is limited, reducing EMI.
Overcurrent detection protects the LED and A6260 when the LED terminal power supply is shorted or shorted to ground.
If the die temperature exceeds the temperature limit, an integrated temperature monitor can be used to reduce the LED driver current.
The device is available in an 8-pin SOIC package with an exposed thermal conduction spacer (suffix LJ). The device is Pb-free with 100% matte tin leadframe plating.
