The AD7392/AD7393 each contain a set of pin-compatible 10-/12-bit voltage-output digital-to-analog converters that operate from a single 3 V supply. Manufactured using the CBCMOS process, these monolithic DACs are suitable for 3V single-supply system applications and are low-cost and easy to use. The guaranteed operating voltage range is 2.7 V to 5.5 V, making this device ideal for battery-powered applications.
The full-scale voltage output is determined by the applied external reference input voltage. Rail-to-rail REFIN to DACOUTThe allowable full-scale voltage is equal to the positive supply voltage, VDDor any value in between. The voltage output is capable of sourcing 5 mA.
When interfacing with the fastest processor, 12-bit data latch and 45 ns write time eliminate the processor from waiting. In addition, when powered on or requested by the user, asynchronousRSThe input sets the output to zero scale.
Both devices have a similar pinout, allowing the user to select the appropriate resolution for the specific application without having to change the board.
The AD7392/AD7393 are specified over the extended industrial temperature range of −40°C to +85°C. The AD7393AR is specified over the −40°C to +125°C automotive temperature range. The AD7392/AD7393 are available in 20-lead PDIP and 20-lead SOIC packages.
