The AD8176 is a high speed, triple, 16 × 9 video crosspointSwitch matrix, supporting 1600 × 1200 RGB displays and 85 Hz refresh rates with 450 MHz bandwidth and 1650 V/μs slew rate. Crosstalk performance of −82 dB and isolation performance of −90 dB (5 MHz) make it suitable for many high-speed video applications.
The AD8176 supports two modes of operation: a differential input-to-differential output mode in which the common-mode (CM) synchronous signaling is passed through the switch, and a differential input-to-differential output mode in which the common-mode signaling is removed through the switch. Output common-mode and black levels can be easily set via external pins. The output is single-ended with horizontal and vertical decoding outputs, allowing you to drive the monitor directly.
The independent output buffers of the AD8176 can be placed in a high impedance state, allowing larger arrays to be constructed with parallel crosspoint outputs. Inputs can also be parallel. The device offers both serial and parallel programming modes.
The AD8176 is available in a fully populated 26 × 26-lead PBGA package and operates over the industrial temperature range of −40°C to +85°C.
