These converters are low-power, monolithic integrated circuits, 12-bit, analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) that operate from a 2.7 to 5.5V supply. The converter is based on successive approximation register structure with internal track and hold circuitry and can handle input frequencies up to 11MHz. These converters work from a single supply, which is also used as a reference. ADC121C021 alarm function provides an analog input that interrupts when a programmable upper or lower limit value is violated.
