The ADP2114 is a versatile synchronous buck switchTurn off the regulator, configurable to meet a variety of customer point-of-load requirements. The two PWM channels can be configured as two independent outputs providing 2 A and 2 A (or 3 A/1 A) respectively, or as a single interleaved output providing 4 A. To reduce input ripple current and input capacitance, the two PWM channels are offset by 180º.
The ADP2114 provides power-efficient performance at full load, supporting high switching frequencies up to 1.2 MHz. At light loads, the device can be set to operate in pulse-skipping mode for improved power efficiency or in forced PWM mode to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI).
The device's gate slew rate is optimized to reduce electromagnetic emissions, allowing it to provide power for sensitive, high-performance signal chain applications. The frequency can be set to 300 kHz, 600 kHz, and 1.2 MHz, and can be synchronized to an external clock signal to minimize system noise between converters. The bidirectional synchronization pin can also be configured as a 90º inverting output clock, enabling stackable multiphase power solutions. The ADP2114 has an input voltage range of 2.75 V to 5.5 V; The fixed output voltage for each channel can be independently set with external resistors: 0.8 V, 1.2 V, 1.5 V, 1.8 V, 2.5 V, or 3.3 V. The resistor divider can also be used to set the output voltage to a minimum of 0.6 V. The device operates over the −40°C to +125°C junction temperature range.
