EVAL-AD7265EDZ differential/single-ended input, dual-core 1 MSPS, 12-bit, 3-channel SAR A/D converter 

The AD7265 is a 12-bit dual-core, high-speed, low-power successive approximation analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that operates from a single 2.7 V to 5.25 V supply and delivers up to 1 MSPS. The device has two ADCs built in, both previously equipped with a 3-channel multiplexer and a low-noise, wide-bandwidth sample-and-hold amplifier capable of handling input frequencies above 30 MHz.

Both the conversion process and the data acquisition process use standard control inputs and can be easily interfaced with a microprocessor or DSP. The input signal is sampled at the falling edge of the CS, and the conversion is initiated here at the same time. The conversion time depends on the SCLK frequency. The AD7265 features advanced design techniques that enable extremely low power consumption at high throughput. It operates at 5 V and delivers 1 MSPS while dissipating from a maximum power consumption of only 4 mA. In normal operating mode, the device also features flexible power/throughput management thanks to ultra-low quiescent current consumption levels.

The analog input range is selectable from 0 V to VREF (or 2 × VREF) and can be encoded with standard binary or binary complement outputs. The AD7265 has an on-chip reference voltage of 2.5 V, which can be exceeded when an external reference voltage is used, with an external reference range of 100 mV to VDD. The AD7265 is available in both 32-pin LFCSP and 32-pin TQFP packages
