illustrate
The LM2734Z regulator is a monolithic, high-frequency, PWM step-down DC/DC converter assembled in a 6-pin thin SOT23 and law firm non-pullback package. It provides all active functions, provides fast transient response, and precisely adjusts local DC/DC conversion with the smallest possible PCB area.
With external components and minimum supported by WEBENCH online design ® ™ LM2734Z is easy to use. The internal 300mΩNMOS drive capability 1A load switch uses state-of-the-art 0.5 micron BiCMOS process technology to provide optimal power density. World-class control circuitry allows a 13ns low multiple, allowing very high conversion frequencies to be reduced to a minimum output voltage of 0.8V over the entire 3V to 20V input operating voltage range. The switching frequency is internally set to 3MHz, allowing the use of very small surface mount inductors and capacitors. Even at very high operating frequencies, efficiencies of up to 85% are easily achievable. External shutdown is included with ultra-low standby current of 30nA. The LM2734Z utilizes current mode control and internal compensation to provide a wide range of high performance regulation of operating conditions. Other features include internal soft-start circuitry to reduce inrush current, pulse-pass pulse current limiting, thermal shutdown, and output overvoltage protection.
