The LMH2180 is a high-speed dual clock buffer for portable communications and applications requiring multiple accurate multi-clock system designs. The LMH2180 integrates two 75 MHz low noise buffers in small packages with separate shutdown pins. The baseband between the LMH2180 and the oscillating signal path that eliminates crosstalk between multiple clock signals ensure best-in-class system operation.
Unique technology and design provide the LMH2180 capable of accurately driving two large capacitive and resistive loads. The combination of low supply current and shutdown pins of each channel is ideal for battery-powered applications. This section does not use an internal ground reference, providing additional system flexibility.
Flexible buffers provide system designers with the ability to manage complex clock signals in the latest wireless applications. Each buffer provides an internal slew rate of 106 V/μs with independent shutdown and duty cycle accuracy. Each input is internally biased to 1V, eliminating the need for external resistors. These two channels have rail-to-rail inputs and outputs with a gain of 1, which are AC and use a capacitive coupling.
The LMH2180 discrete buffer replacement offers many benefits: simplified board layout, minimal parasitic components, simplified BOM, designed durability between multiple applications, simplified clock path, and the ability to reduce the system's clock signal generator. The LMH2180 is a small package production that minimizes the printed circuit board (PCB) space required.
