illustrate
The LMX2541 is an ultra-low noise synthesizer that integrates a high-performance delta-sigma fractional-N PLL, a VCO that is fully integrated with the tank circuitry, and an optional divider. The phase-locked loop provides an unprecedented normalized noise floor of -225 dBc/Hz and can operate in integer and fractional mode (phase detection rate comparison frequency) up to 104 MHz. The PLL can also be configured with an external VCO.
The LMX2541 integrates several low-noise, high-precision LDO and output driver matching networks to provide higher power supply immunity and more consistent performance while reducing the number of external components. When combined with a high-quality reference oscillator, the LMX2541 produces a very stable, ultra-low noise signal.
The LMX2541 is available in a family of 6 devices that differ from the 1990's VCO frequency range MHz to 4 GHz. The LMX2541 uses a flexible divider that can generate a low frequency of 31.6 MHz. The LMX2541 is a monolithic integrated circuit manufactured on a proprietary BiCMOS process. THE DEVICE IS EASILY PROGRAMMED USING A 3-WIRE MICROWIRE INTERFACE AND CAN BE OPERATED DOWN TO 1.6 VOLTS. The supply voltage ranges from 3.15 to 3.45 volts. The LMX2541 is a 36-pin 6x6x0.8 mm lead-free lead-free leadframe package (LLP).
