MSC8152 the industry's highest-performance, dual-core DSP is based on Freescale's SC3850 StarCore technology with increased performance, from an online multi-accelerator platform engine (MAPLE-B) Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) and Inverse Fast Fourier Transform (IFFT), Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) and Discrete Fourier Inverse Transform (IDFT), Turbo and Viterbi decoding. The MAPLE-B accelerator is designed to process the needs and capabilities of today's high-performance medical, aerospace, defense and advanced test and measurement markets. It offers industry-leading performance and power consumption, leveraging 45nm process technology to deliver a single-core device with performance equivalent to 2 GHz in a highly integrated system-on-chip (SoC).
