The TPS7A41 is an ultra-high voltage tolerant linear regulator with the advantage of being in a thermally enhanced package (MSOP-8) and withstanding up to 50V of continuous DC or transient input voltages.
TPS7A41 is stable (over temperature and tolerance) with any output capacitor greater than 4.7μF and any input capacitance greater than 1μF. As a result, the board-level space required for the implementation of the device will be very small due to its miniature package (MSOP-8) and potentially small output capacitors. In addition, the TPS7A41 has an enable pin (EN) that is compatible with standard CMOS logic for a low-current shutdown mode.
TPS7A41 Features an internal thermal shutdown and current limiting function to protect the system in the event of a fault. The MSOP-8 package has an operating temperature range of TJ = –40°C to +125°C.
In addition, TPS7A41 is ideal for generating a low-voltage power supply that relies on intermediate voltage rails in telecommunications and industrial applications.
