illustrate
The LM48860 is a ground-referenced, fixed-gain audio power amplifier capable of delivering 40mW of continuous average power per channel into a 16Ω single-ended load with less than 1% THD+N from a 3V supply.
The LM48860 features a new circuit technique that uses a charge pump to generate a negative reference voltage. This allows the output to be biased toward ground, thus eliminating the output coupling capacitance typically used with normal single-ended loads.
Boomer audio power amplifiers are designed to provide high quality output power with very few external components. The LM48860 does not require output coupling or starter capacitors, making it ideal for use in mobile phones and other low voltage applications where minimum power consumption is a major requirement.
The LM48860 has a low-power shutdown mode that is selectable for each channel. This is done by driving either ^SD_RC (right channel off) or ^ SD_LC (left channel off) (or both) pin logic low, depending on the channel on which it needs to be closed. In addition, the LM48860 has an internal thermal shutdown protection mechanism.
The LM48860 contains advanced POP and click-and-click noise cancellation circuitry that would otherwise occur when switching on and off.
The LM48860 has an internal fixed gain of 1.5V/V.
