The MC13201 is the second generation of the 2.4 GHz bandtransceiverWireless sensing and control applications are designed to require low-cost, simple point-to-point and star networks.It is based on the first generation of the solution by integrating a transmit/receive switch to reduce the overall component count, size and cost.The MC13201 includes a complete packet modem capable of formatting packets with 125 bytes of payload data.It has more than one wireless data rate of 250 kbps, using O-QPSK modulation and direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) coding.The MC13201 Radio targets proprietary applications that require wireless point-to-point or star networks, which include Freescale's Simple MAC (SMAC) software.
The four-wire serial peripheral interface (SPI) enables the interface of a variety of processors, providing developers with tailored solutions to meet their needs.Freescale offers a variety of MCUs, ranging from 8 to 32 bits, that can be easily connected to the MC13201.
