iCoupler is a chip-scale transformer technology that outperforms optocouplers in functionality, performance, size, and power consumption. Has a bidirectional I2The C channel does not need to be I2The C signal is split into separate transmit and receive signals for use by independent optocouplers.
This on-chip isolated dc-to-dc converter is based on Analog Devices.isoPower® technology that provides isolated regulated voltages from 3.15 V to 5.25 V with a maximum output power of 150 mW.
With the ADM3260,iCoupler and .isoPower channel as well as I2C transceivers can be integrated with semiconductor circuitry to achieve fully isolated I in a small package2C interface and power converter. The ADM3260 is available in a 20-lead SSOP package and has an operating temperature range of -40°C to +105°C.
.isoPower uses high-frequency switching elements to transmit power through its transformers. Special care should be taken when designing printed circuit board (PCB) layouts that must comply with relevant radiation standards. For board layout recommendations, refer to application note AN-0971.
