Controlling two DC motors via pulse-width modulation (PWM), the A4954 is capable of withstanding peak output currents of up to ±2 amps and enabling voltages up to 40 volts.
The input terminal controls the speed and direction of the DC motor by applying an external PWM control signal. An internal synchronous rectification control circuit is used to reduce power consumption during pulse-width modulation (PWM) operation.
Internal circuit protection includes overcurrent protection, motor ground or power shorting, overheating shutdown due to hysteresis, VBB undervoltage monitoring, and crossover current protection.
The A4954 is available in a 16-pin TSSOP small package (suffix LP) with an external heatsink. The package is lead-free and the pin frame is 100% matte tin plated.
