The LM22679 Series regulators are monolithic integrated circuits that provide buck switching regulators capable of driving excellent line and load regulation characteristics with 5A loads (buck) all of the positive features. High efficiency (> 90%) is achieved by using a low resistance N-channel MOSFET. The series consists of a fixed 5V output and adjustable version.

SIMPLE SWITCHER ® The concept provides an easy-to-use complete design using a minimum number of external components and the WEBENCH of National Semiconductor ® Design tools. WEBENCH of National Semiconductor ® Tools include features such as external component calculations, electrical simulation, thermal simulation, and simple design, build, and board of it. The switching clock frequency is made up of an internal fixed frequency oscillator, which is at 500 kHz. The LM22679 series also has built-in thermal shutdown and current limiting. An external resistor can be used to adjust the current limit threshold. An adjustable soft-start function is achieved by selecting the appropriate external soft-start capacitor.
