The LM2832 regulator is a monolithic, high-frequency, PWM step-down DC/DC converter in a 6-pin LLP and 8-pin eMSOP package. It provides all the active functions, provides fast transient response and precisely regulates local DC/DC conversion with the smallest possible PCB area. With minimal external components, the LM2832 is easy to use. 150 meters, internal 2.0A load drive capability The optimal power density of the state-of-the-art 0.5 micron BiCMOS process technology in the PMOS switch state. The world-class control circuitry allows for a time as low as 30ns, thus supporting the entire 3V frequency conversion with a minimum output voltage range of 0.6V to 5.5V input voltage range. Internally set to 550 kHz, switching frequencies of 1.6 MHz or 3.0 MHz allow for the use of very small surface-mount inductors and capacitors. Even at high operating frequencies, efficiency of up to 93% is easy to achieve. External shutdown is included and has an ultra-low standby current of 30 nA. The LM2832 uses current mode control and internal compensation to provide a wide range of operating conditions with high-performance regulation. Other features include an internal soft-start circuit to reduce inrush current, pulse through pulse current limiting, thermal shutdown, and output overvoltage protection.
