illustrate
The LM84 is a remote diode temperature sensor, Delta-Sigma analog-to-digital converter, digital overtemperature detector with an SMBus™ interface. The LM84 senses its own temperature as well as the temperature at the junction of the target IC such as the Pentium ® II processor or the 2N3904 diode connected. A diode junction (semiconductor junction) is the mold of the target IC that is required. The host can query the LM84 at any time to read the temperature of the diode and the temperature status of the LM84 itself. A T_CRIT_A# interrupt output becomes active when the temperature is greater than the limit of a programmable comparator, T_CRIT.
Host scheme, and readback T_CRIT register status. Three-state logic input that allows two pins (ADD0 ADD1) to select the LM84 9 SMBus address location. The power of this sensor T_CRIT at the default threshold of 127°C.
