illustrate
The LM84 is a remote diode temperature sensor, Delta-Sigma analog-to-digital converter, and digital overtemperature detector interfaced with an SMBus™. The LM84 detects its own temperature as well as the temperature at the junction of the target IC such as the Pentium ® II processor or connected to the 2N3904 diode. A diode junction (semiconductor junction) is required for the target IC die. The host can query the LM84 at any time to read the temperature of the diode and the temperature state of the LM84 itself. A T_CRIT_A#interrupt output becomes active when the temperature is greater than the limit of a programmable comparator, T_CRIT.
The host scheme, and the status of the T_CRIT registers that are read back. Three-state logic input that allows two pins (ADD0 ADD1) to select the LM84 9 SMBus address position. The power of this sensor T_CRIT at the default threshold of 127 ° C.
