The LP3962/LP3965 fast ultra-low dropout linear regulator series operates from +2.5 V to +7.0 V input supplies. A wide range of preset output voltage options are available. These ultra-low dropout linear regulators respond very quickly to one-step load changes, which makes them suitable for use in low voltage microprocessor applications. The LP3962/LP3965 have been developed using a CMOS process that allows low quiescent current operation with independent output load currents. This CMOS process also allows the LP3962/LP3965 to operate at very low dropout pressures.
Differential pressure:Ultra-low dropout voltage typically at 150mA load current and 380mV at 38mV at 1.5A load current.
Ground pin currentAt 1.5A load current:Usually 5 mA.
Shutdown mode:Quiescent current is typically 15μA when the shutdown pin is pulled low.
Error #flag:The #Error # flag goes low when the output voltage drops below 10% of the nominal value (LP3962).
